Dave W
Our local mushroom club --Wyoming Valley Mushroom Club-- had a scheduled foray this morning. Despite the cold rainy weather --woods were soaked-- several members showed up. But at least there were some mushrooms to find. I was afraid that any morels we found would be well past prime. The season came on suddenly in the wake of hot weather. Then the heavy rains came after the most of the morels had popped. But, we found some nice fresh ones. Everybody went away with a few. Also, one new fruiting of Oysters, and some Pluteus cervinus. Last, this was found in forested area.

Adawg
How do you cook those Lincoln shrooms ? Lol !
Dave W
The Lincoln Mushrooms are taken to the local Price Chopper and traded for Shiitake or Portabella. One Lincolnoides currenciensis typically yields enough edible mushrooms for a nice meal :-)
