Still no Morels

Recommended Posts

Been out everyday at new locations trying to find my first Morel, Maybe too much rain but this weekend will be warm so I'm still hopeful. Trying to stay local as I know I live near very good Morel habitat. Cottonwoods, Elms and a river near by... Lots of Verpa and Gyromitra. We've even had a few landscape Morels reported in Bonney Lake and Sumner so I know they are just a few weeks away... right?! haha

You should be getting morels already in Washington, if you look at low elevation sites.  I found about 30 young to slightly over mature Black Morels today in some of my low elevation locations in southwestern British Columbia.

Sumner is at 75' and I've scoured the logging roads and wildlife areas, it has been uncommonly wet and cold in the valley. I'm thinking of heading to the Issaquah lowlands this weekend to try my luck. Saw a few posts on Facebook about finds there.
