Feral Boy
Seed Tick Blues. Written by: Darren Haverstick Well, this year I made a garden, cause I heard the coons were starving and they kindly left a thing or two for me. So, I was out picking beans, when I felt something in my jeans and it was uninvited insect company. 1st Chorus Seed Tick Blues tuck your pant inside your shoes. It's hard to fight what I can hardly see. I'd take Scorpions and Spiders over them little ankle biters. Winter can't come soon enough for me. Well I snuck off to the creek with my sweetheart, just last week. We skinny-dipped, and then came out to dry. On that grassy bank we laid just like two pigs in the shade. Now, the only thing that don't itch is my eyes. 2nd Chorus Seed Tick Blues I've got no more blood to lose. I'm all wrapped up in gauze and Calamine. It holds me inside, 'cause I've scratched off all my hide. Now, if I can live till winter I'll be fine. Yes, there's lots of things today, that help keep those bugs at bay. But those ticks are getting smart and getting bold. And it won't be long I figger they'll start breeding with the chigger. Then, it won't be safe to come out till it's cold! 3rd Chorus Seed Tick Blues, I can't knock those dang things loose. So, dip me in that Lindane, once again. I keep Permanone real handy eat Diazanon like Candy. But them suckers, are still chewing on my skin. (Tag) I say them Parasites are chewing on my skin. I see it's on a collection called "Prime Cuts of Bluegrass", volume 81. Heard it on KDHX here the other day ... and I definitely FEEL HIS PAIN!
