Today's mystery--Moose Antler relative?

Here's today's mystery. Found this under a large shrub, growing close to a tree root. Very thin "leaves," really just one in a funnel formation. The outside feels like a dry leaf, and the inside is very velvety. The piece of grass came up with the roots and I left it there to help with contrast and perspective. The closest thing I can find to it is wynnea americana, aka moose antlers, but this has just the one cup-like formation instead of several.

Awaiting the word of the masters!
