flipjargendy
Wow. Up until about a month ago, I was wondering if we had mushrooms growing in Minnesota still. Now the only mushrooms growing here are inside. Nice finds :-)
John Smalldridge
Wade, I believe these are lions manes. I should be seeing more this weekend as we are supposed to be getting some rain. As far as Chefs goes, I haven't seen her post for a few months. She seems to be a very busy person, so it doesn't surprise me that she hasn't posted in a while.
1shotwade
I manage to get confused a lot with these being new to me and each field guide seems to put a different name on each variant.I just looked at the National Audubon Society's guide which has 3 pix,one of which I have been calling lions mane but none they pictured was titled as such! I guess I should have taken Latin in school but I don't think it was invented yet!LOL! Wade
