mark m
I have tried to add photos but can't. I've added photo bucket ....still can't upload photos so I've tried to be very descriptive. Is there anyone willing to give me a # to text photos? I am getting more and more of these and they look pretty yummy.
vitog
A lot more information is needed to have even a rough guess at your mushrooms, starting with location. Â I'm not sure it will work, but you might be able to send me some photos in a Private Message. Â If that doesn't work, send me your email address by PM. Amara
White mushrooms with bulbous bottoms do not sound yummy. They sound like a hospital visit. Kid in BC just died eating Amanitas
mark m
Location is southeastern Massachusetts under oaks in leaf litter.
Lilion
I have no idea about your mushrooms, but Photobucket is very twitchy and has a TON of pop-up ads. I used to love it but hate it now. Still, seems to be what we've got. When you click "upload" try the "upload by email" link they give you. It's the only way I can get it to work. If you do it on a smartphone, it should pop up an email that you just attach photos to. Takes a bit, but they'll go to a "mobile uploads" album on your photobucket account. That said, you don't need to use Photobucket on this site. If you're on a PC or laptop or even your phone, try to drop and drag it from another window or just click "choose files" at the bottom of your post next to the paperclip and it should let you just attach a jpeg. vitog
Here are the photos from Mark M. Â They're a bit blurry, but someone from eastern NA might be able to identify them.
Dave W
Photos are washed out by too much light and/or blurry.
mark m
Nobody knows what these are ? That largest are now about 4" diameter and becoming wavy around edges. A little darker than white towards the center , almost tan or cream colored. Growing in 2 areas now where deer cross my drive. Possibly "planted" by deer? John Smalldridge
This is just a guess. They remind me a little of Entoloma. Are there any little popcorn looking mushrooms growing near them? I just want to stress that DaveW is the expert here and this is just a guess. Dave W
About the last photo. Are these well-formed mushrooms with caps and gills like the ones in the overexposed photos above? Or are they just smallish globs of material without caps/gills (or pores)? The white ones in the first few photos...? There are many possibilities. Need more info, better photos. John Smalldridge
I would go and get some better photos of each. Photos should be taken in slightly shaded area to preserve details. Also try setting the mushrooms on the ground and stabilize your camera better while taking photos.
mark m
These are all well formed mushrooms. That photo is from above in poor lighting. I will try to get better ones but still don't know if I can post them. Vitog was nice e enough to post those for me.
John Smalldridge
Mark, look up aborted entoloma on the internet. I'm not saying that's what these are, but it's a possibility.
mark m
Not aborted , they are all well formed. I tried to load new photos but no luck .the biggest are probably 5" across now. Also seem "hairy "or root like at base.
rob
If possible try and do at least a spore print. This can help isolate what you have.
