Slurry for parasols?

Recommended Posts

I plan on attempting to make a slurry with some parasol caps I have and trying to spread it onto a mixture of loose soil and wood shavings in a well drained area. Does anyone have advice? I was thinking a mixture with about 2 gallons water a tablespoon of salt and 2 tablespoons of sugar.  How long should it take to see results? Am I wasting my time? I seem to only find advice on morel slurry.

I think that you'll have better luck using stem butts from young parasols, if you can still get them.  You can either plant stem butts directly into the substrate or first make cardboard spawn.  There is lots of information on the Web.
