Heres an update on my local forays in what was a very dry summer, some changes occurring in favorable conditions finally. Someone asking what was being found lately so here goes... thanks to Dave from last season, I know this one ...caloboletus calopus or bitter beech bolete, so colourful. Also mass fruitings of hericium coralloides and cinnabar chanterelles, and b. varipes me thinks. I have posted into the Cooking section, my favorite recipe for the hericium coralloids ...easy and so tasty!
