Dave W Posted April 25, 2016 Report Share Posted April 25, 2016 Those look like Oyster Mushrooms (Pleurotus species). Note the grayish tinge. You would not see this with Angel Wings (Pleurocybella porrigens). The best way to separate these types is by noting the type of wood. Oysters grow on hardwood; poplar, maple, sometimes oak, and other broad-leafed trees. Anger Wings grow on wood of coniferous trees. Another similar mushroom is Hohenbuehelia petaloides. http://www.mushroomexpert.com/hohenbuehelia_petaloides.html Seeing the under-sides of a few specimens is helpful for proposing an ID.
