sijakob
I've always had a love of mushrooms but living in the big city I didn't think there was much foraging to do. This is the year I realized I was wrong. My local park has generously provided us with Hen of the Woods, Dryad's Saddle, Shaggy Mane, Giant Puffballs, Chicken Mushrooms, Honey Mushrooms and lots and lots of Oyster mushrooms (picked a couple of pounds this morning). rob
Nice, amazing what an urban park can provide. Just be cautious (especially terrestrial) on urban fungi, as they can concentrate various toxins, such as herbicides, pesticides, and heavy metals. Just a caution, nice finds none the less! The Vault Dweller
How great that though you live in an urban area you're near such a large park! Glad you have the opportunity to pursue this hobby!
