eat-bolete Posted July 21, 2015 Report Posted July 21, 2015 I found these yesterday, not sure what they are. Bolete's flesh or pores did not bruise blue.
John Smalldridge Posted July 21, 2015 Report Posted July 21, 2015 Hi eat-bolete. The first mushroom appears to be a older sarcadon. I'm not sure about the bolete. I would encourage you to taste a small bit of the boletes that you find to help in I.D. As far as I know, none of the boletes are harmful to taste. Just be sure to spit it out after tasting.
Dave W Posted July 22, 2015 Report Posted July 22, 2015 Ditto what John wrote. Bolete looks like a Tylopilus. The brownish Tylos are difficult to ID even when you know bitter/not bitter.
