Today's haul!! My word you guys wouldn't believe how many mushrooms are popping up. It's so awesome! I found a cauliflower for the first time but it was too slimy in the center for me.. I found something strange growing on a really old maple with a ton of moss. It was like an egg that was squishy. It was bigger under the moss so I separated one and popped it 🤢 the outside * shell* turned purple and the small beige egg was firm. Gonna watch the one I left to grow. Hey! It's actually a bigger hedgehog. I think it was a bit dry then had some rain. It had teeth and a very chunky stem. It tastes exactly like the smaller ones I normally find.

I'm sorry I don't know the proper names. It's rare for me to find them that big for sure so I left a piece of it to spore.

The larger hedgehog is probably Hydnum repandum, and the smaller ones are likely Hydnum umbilicatum (belly-button hedgehog).

I tookany pics of the Stink horn that popped out. I actually found a few of them.

Even today they're still around due to not having a frost yet.
