Never seen this mushroom before

I found this on the Northern side of my yard where it doesn't get much Sun. Any idea what this is.  The stem is a hollow.  Thanks in advance.

It looks like some photos of Phallus impudicus, the Common Stinkhorn.  The cap is usually pitted and covered with smelly slime, but maybe this one is a young one washed by rain.  If it's a stinkhorn, the base should have a skirt around it.  Did you see a cup-like skirt?

That is a stinkhorn.  It's common name is " Ravenels Stinkhorn ".   phallus ravenelii.
