Help with ID please! 🙏

So I've got some old goat willow trees growing on my slope, they are alive and actively growing but the roots keep giving out and they are falling. Woke up this morning to one leaning about to give way and these are growing at the base. I think they are probably old decaying sulphur tufts but not sure? Any ideas?

it s not very clear, but I think it could be Pholiota highlandensis
