I found it in the Atlantic Forest in Brazil. I don’t know the name of the tree it’s growing on, but the tree is alive, although its bark is peeling off.
I photographed it three months apart. It doesn’t change color when bruised. It’s about 5 to 11 inches in size.
It has a woody smell and brown spores.
