Mystery mushroom from Durham

Looks like a Russula. One of the species from section Ingratae. These types are not considered to be edible; a few are known to be sickeners. Usually, the cap is kinda sticky and there is an odor that may be anything form bitter almonds to foetid. If you section the mushroom vertically, and the stem has an internal cavity loosely stuffed with brownish material, then this would support the "Ingratae" suggestion.
