Dave W Posted July 9, 2015 Report Posted July 9, 2015 Looks like a Russula. One of the species from section Ingratae. These types are not considered to be edible; a few are known to be sickeners. Usually, the cap is kinda sticky and there is an odor that may be anything form bitter almonds to foetid. If you section the mushroom vertically, and the stem has an internal cavity loosely stuffed with brownish material, then this would support the "Ingratae" suggestion.
ChefsWild Posted July 10, 2015 Author Report Posted July 10, 2015 It's crumbly like a Russula. The stem is hollow but the material in it is white rather than brown.
Dave W Posted July 10, 2015 Report Posted July 10, 2015 Some kinda Russula. Maybe a section other than Ingratae.
