Was very happy to find 5-6 mushrooms in 2 hours today.

I identified some, but please confirm.

1. Some kind of Amanita, possibly A. velutipes. I did not see any volva though.

2. Beautiful Suillus pictus.

3. Tylopius felleus. This giant got me very excited until I tasted it.

4. Not sure what these are. Found them growing in open grassy area on sand. Black, trumpet shape, brown velvety edges.

5. Fungus thief. Got busted in misdeed. I named her Winona.

I think the Amanita may be A. flavorubens. Ring for A. velutipes should look like a funnel. Need to see the stipe base.

Stumped on the trumpet-shaped things. Check Thelephora.

Winona the mycophagist.

Thanks Dave, looks like T. terrestris indeed.

Those pictus are really nice. Actually, the name has been changed to Suillus spraguei. But the mushroom hasn't changed! A very good edible when young and firm. It's the only Suillus I collect for the table.
