Plainsman Posted June 4, 2015 Report Posted June 4, 2015 I took some photos of the underside of my mushroom. It is definitely gilled.
Dave W Posted June 4, 2015 Report Posted June 4, 2015 Looks like the underside of the mushroom has been colonized by a mold. Fungus on a fungus; a typical wet weather development. Difficult to propose an ID with high confidence. But I think Agrocybe (genus) is a reasonable suggestion. For viewing particular traits of a mushroom, it's probably best to carefully harvest the entire mushroom and then pose it in filtered natural light so that specific features may be photographed. Also, if you post subsequent information/photos of a mushroom that has already been posted here, then it's best to add on to the original thread as opposed to staring a new thread. As the season develops, there will be lots of mushrooms to discuss here at WM.
