williamfontebuam
Hello! I'm new here and would like to ask some help for identifying what type of morel this is. There are a lot of them grown in my backyard now. Want to be sure if they can be cooked and eaten. Thanks
Tasso
I see you are from Europe. Although the name Morchella esculenta has been applied to common yellow morels worldwide, recent DNA analysis restricts the name to Europe and China. Edible and delicious, but they must be thoroughly cooked. Enjoy.
Dave W
I think this may be an example of the European species Morchella vulgaris. Like Tasso said, edible when thoroughly cooked.
