Newhunter Posted May 6, 2015 Report Posted May 6, 2015 Pretty much no aroma. Slight hint of typical grocery store white button aroma. Found on a decaying tree stump with three or four others within inches of it. The stem of this one was touching the stem of another.
Dave W Posted May 6, 2015 Report Posted May 6, 2015 Looks like Polyporus arcularius. http://www.mushroomexpert.com/polyporus_arcularius.html Neofavolus alveolaris --another small spring polypore-- has pores that are similarly elongated-polygonal. But this type is generally orangish and the short stalk is usually not centrally attached to the cap.
