Mushieforager
So I have found what looks to be a nice patch of Chaga on a birch. I collected it and am trying to identify if it is any good. Pictures I see online are a bit more vibrant in color so I was wondering if anyone can help me determine if this is still safe to use? Most likely trying to dry it and make a tea. troutddicted
Chaga, yes. Is the birch dead or alive?
Mushieforager
It was an alive tree
JOHNY
Normally they are more orange inside. But the external appearance and emerging from an obvious birch does look like Chaga.
