Please help identify this interesting mushroom found in central Florida

This popped up in the yard after heavy rain.  Growing in oak leaf litter at the base of an oak tree.  I would love to know what it is and if it is edible.  Looks sort of like a type of oyster or false oyster to me but I don’t know what it is exactly.  Thanks!
