pumplinpen
If anybody has any suggestions... I'm interested in reading about the genetics, structure, and physiology of fungus, or mushrooms in particular. It would be great to find something that starts out simply and builds in complexity... any suggestions welcome!
Dave W
Here's something I just found on the NAMA email network. The address is to a review of the book "The Kingdom of Fungi", by Petersen. Not sure if it's exactly what you're after, pumplinpen, but it looks like a very informative/entertaining book. http://namyco.org/book_reviews/Kingdom_of_Fungi_Petersen.html A book I have that includes a lot of information on the biology of fungi is "The Kingdom Fungi, The Biology of Mushrooms, Molds, and Lichens" by Steven L. Stephenson.
pumplinpen
Thanks Dave W, I'll look into both of those suggestions. From the reviews of Petersen's book, it seems to be pretty comprehensive and I think it sounds like a good place to start. Thanks again.
