Jackie P
I was a little late for my favorite, fiddleheads. They shot up in the warm weather last week! I walked by a spot where I found Reishi last year July 4th and they’re budding from the roots and trunk of a hemlock over the Ipswich River. Got to see woods anemone, marsh marigold, a wood ear, and Jack in the Pulpit. I love walking my dog in the woods on my day off and he likes to go slow and explore with me. bobbyloveshrooms
As I wandered through the woods today, I was reminded of how much I enjoy these peaceful moments surrounded by nature. Do you ever take these nature walks too? They seem to provide such a calming break from the daily hustle. My dog is the perfect partner for these adventures; he's always finding something new to sniff around. It's interesting that even after years of walking the same trails, there's always something fresh to discover, whether it's a new plant like the Jack in the Pulpit or spotting those vibrant marsh marigolds. Have you ever tried foraging for fiddleheads yourself? It's a bit of a hunt, but so rewarding when you find them at just the right time!
