Spore printing now. Pics don't really do justice to the hints of red-purple on the cap. Stem has a bit of the same hue.

Looks like one of the gray/brown species of Tricholoma, of which there are several here on NA. Some of them are sickeners. One very good gray Trich is T. portentosum, but the one seen here is almost certainly not T. portentosum.

Just to be sure... if the stalk snaps like a piece of chalk, then you have a Russula. These are also white-spored and may resemble Trichs.
