Yana
Hi! I picked this mushroom today, looking like porcini to me, after I boiled it the skin turn green. I boiled them couple of minutes with purpose of froze them. Can I still use these pieces ? Thanks
svs
Looks like king bolete family mushroom to me. Skin color changes color during boiling, changes in ph, etc
Dave W
I'm not familiar with the mushrooms of Sweden. But this is possibly Boletus aereus, a dark-capped porcini of Europe https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boletus_aereus . I don't have a comment about the turn to green when boiled. I never boil fresh porcini.
Yana
@Dave W thank you so much! After reading it seems to be exactly the type you linked me. Exciting to know I found it where it’s not too common and many consider it an excellent porcini 🤩
