I think this is a fly agaric, but can you give me your opinion?

I found this at about 9000 ft elevation in Empire, Colorado underneath a short pine tree. I plucked it out without being careful to preserve a potential volva, but it appears to have a residual ring on the stipe and gills on the underside of the cap. It was more orange than red so I think it might be Amanita muscaria var. guessowii. Any thoughts? Thank you!
