Kevin Hoover
I have a bunch of these coming up in a mulched flower bed. Â Cracked golden tops, ring on stalk, attached dark gills. Spore print is black. Mycelium attached to bottom of stalks.
Dave W
The thick "cogwheel" rings on the stalks, gills becoming gray, and blackish spore print point toward Stropharia rugosoannulata. I think these are the classic "wine cap" type, except faded and with cracked cap surfaces due to drying in situ. There's also a yellow variety (f. lutea).  If you collect a substantial spore print on a black non-absorbent surface, you may see a subtle difference from pure black. Agrocybe praecox has a cigar-brown spore print.
Kevin Hoover
Thanks Dave, that cap color threw me off.  I’ve found wild wine caps and also grew some. Never saw caps like that
