svs
Looks like it. Check spore print. Also stem should be firm/dense outside with fluffy center.
MDW
The ring is completely gone, are these old? Thanks for the response
Dave W
The partial veils appear to have collapsed onto the stalks. I see ring-like deposits, especially apparent on the smaller one seen in the photo on the right. The gills look to be a bit on the brown side for Armillaria and the caps rather smooth. But these appearances may be because the mushrooms are past prime and/or the way the scene is lit. Spore print color?
MDW
Thanks Dave, I am new to foraging and need to get into the habit of doing spore prints. Hopefully I will find these again next October. Having said that do you agree these are honey mushrooms? Thanks again
Dave W
My guess is the mushrooms are a species of Armillaria (Honey Mushrooms). But, I'd like to feel more confident in the ID proposal.
