Arkansas Posted September 23, 2022 Report Share Posted September 23, 2022 Hey guys. I've been learning a bit after being in this forum. I thank you too the mods and community for that. Today I encountered something weird.. It's a firm mushroom. I don't know where it came from.. there were two above ground after I did some grading. They had no stems to what I saw.. And in fact a little root ball that fell off when I picked them up. Are these .. truffles ??? They have pores, not gills. When I cracked them open they are a blackish / blue.. but it doesn't change color.. I mean that color is immediately present when they are opened up.. And they're firm not soft..
