Marasmius oreades is a possibility. So is Marasmius nigrodiscus http://www.mushroomexpert.com/marasmius_nigrodiscus.html . Also, I would not rule out Gymnopus (eg. G. dryophilus) or Connopus acervatus http://www.mushroomexpert.com/connopus_acervatus.html . These all have white spore prints. Also, there may be similar southern NA species that I don't see here in PA.... Ahhh! Here's an example that seems good , Marasmius floridanus http://www.mushroomexpert.com/marasmius_floridanus.html .

I think maybe this last suggestion is the best fit.
