This what I think it is?

Looks like a classic Yellow Chanterelle; one of the North American species that was formerly called Cantharellus cibarius. There are actually several NA species, all equally edible. To verify the ID, one trait to note is that when a true Yellow Chanterelle is sectioned vertically you will see the interior is composed of white flesh.
