JenterMushrooms
I found this incredibly tiny white jellyfish-looking mushroom in my backyard today and it looked like nothing I've seen before. My go-to identifier app, Shroomify, has absolutely no idea what it is. Could someone help me out and give me closure? It looks to have gills of some type but i cant really tell what specifically. It is also growing from a twig which caught me off guard initially.
DT3
Hi, these guys are pretty common in North America and are called Pinwheel Marasmius, they might not be but are definitely a part of the Marasmius family. They thrive on rain, if you are interested in more information, look something up!! Hope this helps, I am not an avid mushroom identifier so keep that in mind! Calvert
Yes, they're Marasmius rotula. They're very unique because they have a little "flange" around the stem that the gills are attached to, rather than attaching to the stem itself.
