Dave W Posted July 10, 2022 Report Share Posted July 10, 2022 Old NA filed guides used the name "Cantharellus cibarius" for the Yellow Chanterelle with well-developed pseudo-gills. Research conducted within the past 20 years has shown that the European species C. cibarius does not occur in NA. Instead we have several newly named species. I haven't yet learned how to apply these new names. But, the ones seen in the photos here represent one of these species of Cantharellus.
