chelseafc Posted September 23, 2014 Author Report Posted September 23, 2014 Does anybody have a clue about these? Found a couple possibilities but just still needing more feedback.
Dave W Posted September 23, 2014 Report Posted September 23, 2014 These look like a type of Suillus, but I don't recognize the species. My guess is there was a coniferous tree nearby. Probably a type of pine.
ladyflyfsh Posted September 24, 2014 Report Posted September 24, 2014 You need to be careful about collecting mushrooms from a golf course, as they use a lot of chemicals on golf courses and these mushrooms could easily have absorbed them.
Cedric Posted September 26, 2014 Report Posted September 26, 2014 Yup, looks like a Suillus. I would hazard Suillus Variegatus, but there are other similar ones. As ladyflyfsh says: I would not eat any mushrooms from a Golf Course, too much fertilisers, recycled water and pesticides for my taste... Cheers,
