Is this a Suillus spraguei

Thank you for your reply. Actually Colfax California. I changed my profile. :) I think you are correct. I will study the pics and the info on it.  I have 10 or 12 different types of new mushrooms this year because I added wood chips on the ground.

The Suillus mushroom is not the result of having added woodchips. These are are all mycorrhizal species, meaning that the mushrooms come from a fungus that is associated in a symbiotic relationship with a tree. For genus Suillus, the tree is usually a conifer.
