Corvus
Found on mixed conifer forest on ground (if I remember correctly) russula ionochlora or Russia azonites maybe?
Calvert
Identification of Russula is almost impossible from a photo. Even if you have the mushroom in hand, they're often need microscopic examination to tell apart. It's definitely a Russula though.
Dave W
As Calvert said, microscopy is usually necessary when trying to ID a Russula mushroom to species. You also need Melzers reagent, which is difficult to obtain in the USA (due to containing a controlled substance). The Melzers is needed to make the ornamentation on the spores stand out (under the scope at 400x). But, sometimes you get some useful info from: spore print color, percentage of radius that the cuticle peels, taste (okay to nibble/taste/spit Russula). The mushroom seen here does look like R. ionochlora. Several weeks ago I IDed this species here in NE PA. Note that a good deal of the info includes microscopy. https://mushroomobserver.org/468729?q=1khZw
