ooOOoOooOoOo
What you guys think? Was growing near a Pine tree pretty far from the base. Also has this intense sweet medicinal smell to it. I think spore print is white, hard to tell on teh aluminal foil. Can also ID the orange mushroom if u want, i curious on it too
Dave W
My guess for the orange mushroom is genus Russula. But that's a guess based upon very little info; low confidence. "Sweet medicinal smell" suggests Clitocybe robusta. Or maybe Lepista/Clitocybe subconnexa, which can also have an unusual odor. Either of these species produces a pale spore print, but not white. C. robusta, yellow; C. subconnexa, pinkish. C. robusta usually grows in forested areas, in leaf litter or needle duff.

clamp connection
Oysters will be on trees or downed logs. I've never seen (or heard of) them on buried wood, and this doesn't appear to be buried wood anyway.
ooOOoOooOoOo
@clamp connection thanks for the info, yea dug it up after sure not oyster. Was just growing from the dirt from what i could tell. The sweet scent was extremely over powering too when i got it out. Guess my search for oysters continues.
