Dave W Posted October 10, 2021 Report Share Posted October 10, 2021 These look like a species of Armillaria to me. One helpful trait is seen by diagonally slicing through a stem. The exterior "skin" is fairly tough and fibrous and a bit darker than the white pithy/cottony interior flesh that you can dig out with the tip of a knife.
