Tomas
This group of mushrooms appeared at the base of a dead Mulberry tree which is a hotbed of all types of mushroom growth. I am new to mushroom identification which helped me to discover and join this forum! Please let me know if you have any suggestions as to what species this may be or where I could search for answers. I appreciate it!
Patrick from Ontario
Looks like a type of Armillaria aka Honey Mushroom. Possibly A. mellea or A. tabescens. (I could be totally wrong as I am a new to this) A couple recent ID posts on here have been determined to be honey mushrooms, compare with those. Dave W
The species of "Ringless Honey Mushrooms" are now placed into genus Desarmillaria. I think the one seen here are D. tabescens... which I believe actually has actually been assigned a new species name!
