ttzop
Anyone have a lot of experience with Russula xerampelina group?  I was checking out a new mushroom spot and gathered what really hit all the marks from shrimps except when I gave them the test test at home they were acrid!! What gives? creamy gills, creamy cap blushed with pink, stipe exterior firm with pithy core, odor very classically shrimpy… but Super Duper Unmistakably ACRID! thx for your input! JOHNY
Can you post pictures of the mushrooms?
ttzop
Ah nah.. i composted them and then had the afterthought to post and ask the forum. But honestly, with how typical it looked I wonder how much help a pic would have been. is it possible that some in the R xerampelina group are acrid?
