sgmex
Do wild oyster mushrooms ever give a second flush? I harvested quite a lot this summer in NE Pa but am wondering if they would give this fall?
sgmex
I guess I answered my own question. The trees that produced Oysters in July are doing it again in September. I will be picking later today!
bprzyw
I’ve been getting flushes from the same trees every 2 weeks! There are sooo many out here I’m all about done with picking them 😎
wny_forager
I have a giant log of what I believe are pleurotus populinus (continuing tests to fully confirm — and I first noticed the log full of fungus in early summer. I just harvested a huge flush today (early october). I think it had one or two growth spurts in between early summer and now — they apparently come back again and again if the weather is right? I read somewhere they can have a growth spurt if the weather changes — suddenly cold, suddenly rainy, suddenly warm, etc. I’m trying to test out that theory by observing this log! There might be something to it ..
