Indigo
The mushroom gods were good to me this morning!!! I Spotted several pounds of nice Reishi today on my way to the market, and I wasn't even looking! I always like to say, that sometimes the mushrooms find you, you don't find them 😉 It's about to be tea time!

Protea
Wow, that's definitely a nice find. It has been raining for past several days and I also think about going mushroom hunting, hope I am at least as lucky as you were when you came across these cordyceps beauties. Where did you find them by the way. If the environment wasn't that clean I suggest to be very cautious, mushrooms tend to absorb both good and bad things from the soil. The safest to consume are those you find somewhere remote in the forest or the ones you grew yourself.
vitog
Ganoderma, not Cordyceps
Epicmushroomhunter
Can anyone narrow down to the species of this one? Is it Ganoderma curtisii, or G. lucidum?
Dave W
G. lucidum is not native to North America, although a few collections have been made in western NA likely due to cultivated G. lucidum becoming naturalized. I think Indigo's collection likely represents G. curtisii.
Kwilly
Wow, those mushrooms look amazing! What do you usually use them for? Do you incorporate them into your cooking, or do you use them for medicinal or other purposes? I'm always interested in learning about different ways people use mushrooms and the benefits they provide.
