shroomersue
In southern Ontario under oak and pine forests, was pickin lots of cantharellus cinnibarus, and scattered amongst them were these purple mushrooms - cortinarius or?... they had sticky caps and were profusely growing everywhere in same location as the chanterelles. I am getting a spore print tonite from it but assume it will be brown as the stem indicates spores dropping.

BaconRaygun
I see these in my neck of the woods occasionally too. Very pretty, especially whey they are really young.
