Found a few things I think may be what I was looking for. What's your thoughts? The first photo of white mushrooms with ring. I think these are psilocybe ovedeo and they bruised purple. Found in a flood plane in mossy grass beneath a tree. Second photo of brown mushrooms is from a large mulch pile in the same area as the others. Please help.

Hey fellow mycology masters and newbies (like me). Just getting totally engulfed in the world of mycology and identifying mushroom species. I've been scouting a few times in the last few weeks. Really loving the connection back to nature and finding some fruits. I'm in Luzerne county, Mt Top area. Glad to be here!

I found these mushrooms growing on a log half submerged in a stream. I found them while on a walk in the winter. There were many black walnut trees so I’m presuming it’s from one of them. They were growing on a lot of dead trees in the forest.it had just snowed a day or two befor when I found them.

I have heard that 2016 wasn't a good year for Chanterelles in Pennsylvania. Has anyone been finding any here, especially in south central PA? I've found cinnabar chanterelles but they are very small and unsubstantial. I've found a lot of Boletes and stuff but no yellow chanterelles yet. Is the season still going? Thanks, Andy
