  1. This all started because of my little girl and me being over protective. I dont want my little one eating anything shes not supposed to while playing outside, which is basically alot lol. But all in all I got interested in Mycology got all the books from the library I could and still reading them. I am here to get a better sense in identifying mushrooms, further my experience, and hopefully understand them to the point I can use that to support my family.
  2. Hello all! Hope you are having a good day today. I stumbled upon this magnificent log hosting small clusters of these bright orange-yellow mushrooms in Autumn last year (North Wales, UK). However when I drove past them again in the winter they had shriveled up and turned a light brown color. I have had someone tell me that they could be part of the Flammulina Velutipes species but I would just like to receive a second opinion. Also, I would like to know if they could somehow be preserved nicely? I like to work with fungi and flora in my art projects so it would be lovely to incorporate them into my work somehow if possible, and if so, will their vibrant color return with the seasons? Thank you so much in advance!
  3. So my dog MAY have eaten this mushroom. I would just like to know if it's something to worry about. Also, IF it is poisonous, what are the symptoms to look out for, and how long will it take for them to appear? Also, I dont know if it helps to give my geography, but we're in Houston, Texas.
  4. Hello fellow mushroom hunter, I need some helping identifying the following four mushrooms that I found in the Tennessean wild (wetland/forest) in the summer time. Mushroom 1: very small (2-4 cm)white mushroom, grows on decaying wood. Pictures of this mushroom are an attachment labeled as "finger"... Mushroom 2: also small, and grows on decaying wood. lines coming out of center of mushroom. Pictures of this mushroom are an attachment labeled as "white tree"... Please comment if you know what this is! I can supply more information if needed, except I cannot get spore prints. Thanks, shroomguy ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- LIVE LOVE SHROOMS...
