I was out with a friend and came across this whist out bush walking. Would anyone know what type of mushroom this is? It was old and had many insects living in it. No spore print came of it. It was found just next to the trail

Hello all! I am quite new to this but studying vigorously, and taking the right precautions. I am also not ingesting anything I find for quite a awhile as I want to broaden my knowledge. I found this patch on an Ottawa path, shaded by a creek. It was on a fallen over tree, and I get the impression that it is a Dryads Saddle. If anyone can identify from the picture or if this mushroom has lookalikes for further study, I’d love to know!

Hey everyone!! this is my second find it looks a lot more like a psychedelic one. There is bruising on the stem that’s slightly brown. The underneath of the hood is not sticky or waxy. It is growing out of wood and moss in a tropical coastal region in Kenya. Any ids would be helpful also I will try provide as much additional info as possible. They are also quite small the larger of the two being about an inch in height.

These were found growing on grass in a bunch, maybe 10-12 of them. They have the tell tale brown spot on the top but I don’t want to risk anything. It is one of these for sure; panaeolus cinctulus Psilocybe subtropicalis gymnopilus sp. Because of where I live it won’t be any other. Please let me know if it’s any of the above if not I won’t use it

hello all! These are growing all over my yard. I'm fairly certain my tentative i.d. is correct, but would like to know if anyone else can confirm or correct, so I don't eat something that might be toxic. TIA! Charmaine 🙂🍄🤔🤞🏻

Hi mushroom hunting friends! I spent 45 mins trying to figure out an I’d on these little guys, but was totally unsuccessful! Hoping to get some help from your brains! Found on decomposing horse poop and hay, I’m up in the mountains of Idaho so spring is just popping up here. So the mushies must be some early spring fruiting type. Theres a very delicate veil and it bruises slightly with a rusty color.

Hi, I found these mushrooms in Cornwall a few days ago. They were in a grassy field not near any trees. There were about 8 different types of mushroom in the area. You are not able to see the gills without tearing some of the mushroom cap off. Are you able to help identify it? Thanks

Hi, i am pretty new to this mushroom hunting business and could use some help with an id. I found these growing under pine(in UK)I had thought it could be leocopaxillus tricolor but the cap Is more a grey colour. The gills rub off easily leaving a smooth surface on the underside of the cap. Many thanks!

Interested in knowing what these mushrooms are.. Found in the depths of a pine tree forest in a tight cluster. They stood out for their really bright green tint to them, doesn't show that well in the pictures. Any help is invaluable! Many thanks

I found these mushrooms growing on the forest floor at about 3000 ft elevation in the Washington Cascades. Going through my field guide, I came up with matsutake, but am unsure as the guide strongly emphasized ID by scent. The mushrooms have a pronounced and distinct spicy odor, but I haven't smelled matsutake's before and it also seems on the early side for them to be fruiting. Can anyone help point me in the right direction? Habitat: Where does it grow? Mid-montane douglas/fir-hemlock forest. About 3000 feet elevation in northern Cascade range mountains of Washington state. Habitat photo below What does it grow on? soil, did not seem to be growing out of buried wood Gills: Gills are attached, but have notch at connection with the stem. White, becoming light tan with age. White spore print Stem: Length 4", diameter 1", white with a ring, what appears to be remnants of a partial veil below the ring and on cap. Veil remnants thin, scaly and brown, firm texture, solid stem with fibers. No evidence of a volva, but did have some dark root-like things growing out of the base. Cap: Diameter about 6", color white with some tan to brown scaly membranous parts on the top, texture firm, similar to the stem, cap starts out convex, becomes wavy to flat. Bruising: None observed. I had a cut half of a mushroom sitting on the counter for a couple days, and the cut surface was still bright white. Other information: Spicy scent that continued to be noticeable for several days in the mushroom that was sitting on my counter.
