  1. I found this mushroom growing in wood chips near my house. The gills are cream on really young mushrooms turning to light brown as mushrooms mature. They seem to grow singly and in clumps. The stem has no vulva and is fibrous. There is no veil. The size of the mature mushrooms is two to three inches in diameter. I found them in a ring about a month ago but couldn't identify them. They have an earthy mushroom smell.
  2. Found this in some wood chips near wet area. Cap is folded up and about 2 in. in diameters. Stem is about 1/2 in. in diameter and about 2 in. in length. A light brown in color with cap a little darker. Just want what this is as I was on my first mushroom hunt and this was the only species (even mushroom) that I found. About 55 degrees Fahrenheit.
