  1. I live in the PNW, specifically Lacey, Washington in the county of Thurston. The weather has been very erratic lately, normal for this area, and has been alternating light/heavy rains to Sunny days. Even the nights can be strangely warm still. Current status is slightly wet gooey/slimy. They seem to be growing off tree roots (many leaves cover the ground and is sparsely visible) and in plenty of bunches adjacent to one another. I suspect these grew in a matter of a month and I walk the property once a week at least. I thought nothing of them initially because they seemed weak or in a bad spot to grow but I was clearly wrong. I can’t tell what genus, let alone species it belongs to. Please help this amateur!
