    Hi

Welcome aboard Mike. I'm new to the forum as well. Looking forward to your pictures. 8)......Mark.
  2. Good advice! Thx Dave.
  3. Thx again Dave. 8) ........happy hunting.
  4. Sorry to just pop in on this topic, but since we are mentioning honeys, i have to ask what you all think these might be... The spore print was white..the stems ,when opened, were quite fibrous. ..they were clustered around the trunk from ground level up about two feet off the ground.
  5. Sorry Dave. I should have shown this pic. For clearer I.D. Do you still think Hypsizygus? P.S. The spore print was white.
  6. Thx. Dave and yes the spore print (which i failed to mention) was dark purple brown. Regarding the last photo, no i just had the camera on auto everything. I'm not savvy with a camera, but this model takes nice photos Its a Canon sx30si. Makes me look like i know what im doing (shhhhhhh...... Although.......now that i think of it......i have been messing around with the HDR option, maybe that would explain it.
  7. Found these a couple of days ago. No ring, white stem, slimy cap after a rain. Clustered on a maple stump...............thx in advance. 8)
  8. Just thought Id say hello, before I start posting up a storm. I just started foraging for mushrooms this spring, but I'm seriously hooked! After strolling local trails for literally hours, i head home, exhausted, thinking thats enough of that for a while..... ......I get back home, In less than an hour, I'm dying to get back out! I'm not looking forward to winter.........at all!!! Your site will help me through the next few months quite nicely. ......... Cheers!.............Mark.
  9. Found this "little" gem 2 days ago. 7 ft off the ground, on a maple tree. The tape measure is in inches! If the photo does not show.....Can someone help me out? I'm using an ipad, maybe thats the problem? I REALLY AM A NEW-B!
